Caldera
Inspired by the extraordinary circular rock formations of the Northumberland coast, the Caldera collection reflects the enduring marks left by water over immense spans of time. Here, movement has become geology. Tide after tide, season after season, the coastline quietly records its own history until erosion itself becomes a form of drawing.
Bands of glaze trace these ancient rhythms across each vessel, creating quiet topographies that suggest excavation, sediment and exposed stone. They are not depictions of the landscape, but echoes of the processes that shape it—patient, cyclical and immeasurably slow.
Caldera is an exploration of memory held within the land, where the landscape reveals not a single moment, but the accumulated weight of time.
